The ultimate way of personalising your emails, making them instantly recognisable to those who know you

This week, I collected our mail from the local Post Office and as usual, I placed it on the front passenger seat during the drive home.
As I queued to leave the car park, I glanced down to the collection of envelopes and instantly recognised my mother's hand writing on one of them. I can't remember the last time that I saw my mother's hand writing, but it's a number of years.
Initially, I was surprised by how instantly I recognised her style, but then, given time to think about it, I realised, having grown up in a household without a computer, when people used to put pen to paper regularly and having therefore, seen her hand writing so often, that perhaps, it wasn't so surprising that I instantly recognised it.
What there is no doubt about however, is that each of us has our own style of hand writing which is instantly recognisable to those who are close to us.
Everyday, I receive emails that have been personalised by the sender in one way or, another and nowadays, it seems that there are no end of ways to jazz them up or, personalise them, but what better way to personalise an email, than to use your own hand writing style - instead of one of the standard fonts that are offered to us in the email systems that we all use.
On the drive home, I began to wonder whether anyone else might have already thought of this and whether it would be possible to do. Using Google, it didn't take long for me to find out that someone has already thought of it and that, they have made it very easy for everyone to use their own personal hand writing style in their emails.
When I say that they have made it "very easy to do," they have, as long as you have access to a printer and scanner - why ?
A visit to http://www.myscriptfont.com will provide you with the full details, but in a nutshell, the owners of the website have developed a system that starts with you downloading, printing and completing their "template" form with all the required letters, punctuation and symbols - in your own hand writing, using a black or, dark blue felt tip pen.
Once you have done this, you simply scan the form before uploading it to the website. There are a couple of stipulations - the scanned and saved file must not exceed 6,000 x 9,000 pixels and 5MB which is relatively easy to achieve.
Once they receive your form, your hand writing style is converted into your very own personalised font which you can then, install and use in your emails or, any other word processed documents that use True Type fonts.
The website even provides instructions guiding you through the whole process, including how to install your personalised True Type font in the various Windows' operating systems.
This is the ultimate way of personalising your emails, making them instantly recognisable to those that know you and is a very personal way of communicating by email with your family and close friends.
If you want to, you can complete the process twice, but the second time, make sure that you complete the form with a joined-up version of each letter in the style of your signature. You can then, save this style as a separate True Type font and use it to sign off on your emails. It may take a little practice and a few attempts, but it's well worth it !
